Exploring Rangitoto Island

I sailed to Rangitoto Island on Fuller's ferry. It is an old volcano. It was really exciting when we went because there was loads of black lava which had turned in to black rock. The enormous crater was 60m deep and it was covered with trees, plants and bushes.

It was joined on to another island where Maoris lived. The eruption killed lots of them.

  1. Hello Peter
I am called William and i am a beaver in Westborne Beavers.
I heard you lost a tooth on the plane. Do you have a tooth fairy in New Zealand? Are you having a good time and is it still very hot? It has been very cold here and we had alot of snow at my house. I saw you went to a volcano was it very high and did you see any lava?
